To put this in perspective Cuppy's Coffee has seen a 67% increase in signed leases versus the same quarter figures in 2007. In the same quarter last year, Cuppy's signed a total of 15 leases. The 2008 1st quarter data reveals 25 signed leases.

"Our goal is to sign a lease every day of the week. If we meet that goal, we will be on track to bringing the Cuppy's Coffee brand into the national radar." McDonald states.

The 1st annual Cuppy's Coffee Barista Scholarship Essay Contest has been extended to May 7, 2008. All high school seniors working at Cuppy's Coffee are eligible to participate to win the grand prize of a $500.00 college scholarship to the college of their choice. Awards and prizes are also available for 1st and 2nd place finishers.

Folks in Granbury, TX will soon be able to experience a true Italian espresso when Cuppy's Coffee, Smoothies & More opens later this year. Franchisees have signed a lease moving them into the next phase of planning and construction.
